  • 1 pound packaged or homemade gnocchi
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 teaspoon chopped garlic
  • 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
  • 3/4 cup full-fat milk
  • 1 teaspoon dijon mustard
  • 1/4 cup grated gruyère cheese
  • 1/4 cup grated fontina cheese
  • Salt and white pepper to taste
  • 1/3 cup grated parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Boil salted water in a pot and cook the gnocchi until they float; drain and set aside.
  2. In a medium saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter, add garlic and sauté until fragrant. Stir in flour until smooth to create a roux.
  3. Gradually whisk in milk and dijon mustard until the sauce thickens slightly.
  4. Remove from heat; mix in gruyère, fontina, salt, white pepper, and parmesan cheese until melted.
  5. Gently fold the cooked gnocchi into the cheese sauce until combined.
