  • 1 medium cauliflower (cut into florets)
  • 1/3 cup rice flour
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder (optional)
  • 1.5 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1/4 cup light soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp rice apple vinegar
  • 23 tbsp honey or maple syrup
  • Fresh ginger, minced
  • Fresh garlic, minced

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix rice flour, cornstarch, garlic powder (if desired), and water to create a smooth batter.
  3. Coat each cauliflower floret in the batter and place on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  4. Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown and crispy.
  5. While baking, prepare the sauce by combining sesame oil, soy sauce, rice apple vinegar, minced ginger, minced garlic, honey/maple syrup, cornstarch, and water in a saucepan over medium heat.
  6. Once the cauliflower is done baking, drizzle the sauce over it and toss gently to coat.
  7. Serve hot, garnished with sesame seeds and sliced spring onions.
