  • 1 can (15 oz) kidney beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1 can (15 oz) black beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1 can (28 oz) crushed tomatoes
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 bell pepper, diced
  • 2 tablespoons chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 cup beef or vegetable broth
  • 1 teaspoon salt (adjust to taste)
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Brown the ground beef or turkey in a skillet over medium heat until cooked through.
  2. Transfer the meat to your slow cooker and add kidney beans, black beans, crushed tomatoes, onion, garlic, bell pepper, chili powder, cumin, salt, black pepper, and broth. Stir well.
