  • 1 lb Jumbo Shrimp (peeled and deveined)
  • 1 cup Buttermilk (or milk + lemon juice)
  • 3/4 cup Cornstarch (or potato/tapioca starch)
  • 1 cup Vegetable Oil
  • 1/2 cup Mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup Sweet Chili Sauce
  • 2 tbsp Sriracha

Instructions

  1. Marinate the shrimp in buttermilk for about 10 minutes.
  2. In a bowl, mix mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, and sriracha; set aside.
  3. Combine cornstarch with salt, garlic powder, and black pepper in another bowl.
  4. Dredge marinated shrimp in the cornstarch mixture until fully coated.
  5. Heat oil in a skillet to about 350°F and fry shrimp in batches for around 1.5 minutes per side until golden brown.
  6. Drain excess oil on paper towels and toss fried shrimp with the bang bang sauce before serving.
