  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 8 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons fresh chives, chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • Optional: 1 cup shredded mozzarella or parmesan cheese

Instructions

  3. Make diagonal cuts across the top of the bread without cutting all the way through.

  6. Wrap the loaf in aluminum foil loosely and bake for 15-20 minutes.
  7. Unwrap the top and bake for an additional 5-10 minutes until golden brown.
