  • 1 teaspoon fine sea salt
  • 3/4 cup chopped dark chocolate or chocolate chips
  • 1/4 cup crushed candy canes

Instructions

  1. Cream together the unsalted butter, light brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  2. Mix in the egg and vanilla extract until well combined.
  3. Gradually add the all-purpose flour, baking soda, and salt; stir until just combined.
  4. Gently fold in the chopped dark chocolate and crushed candy canes.
  5. Scoop dough onto a parchment-lined baking sheet and freeze for at least three hours.
  6. Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C) and bake frozen cookie dough balls for about 9–10 minutes until slightly underbaked.
  7. Add extra crushed candy canes on top before cooling completely.
