Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Toast pecans on a baking sheet for 5–7 minutes.
  2. Cream together softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add egg and vanilla extract; mix until combined.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add to the wet mixture until combined.
  5. Fold in toasted pecans.
  6. Drop cookie dough onto a parchment-lined baking sheet with enough space between each cookie.
  7. Bake for 10–12 minutes or until edges are golden brown.
  8. Cool cookies before glazing: melt butter and brown sugar in a saucepan with milk. Stir in powdered sugar until smooth; drizzle over cooled cookies.
