Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 salmon fillets (6 oz each)
  • 2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 4 medium russet potatoes, peeled and cut into chunks
  • 1 pound fresh green beans, trimmed
  • 1 tablespoon butter (for sauce)
  • 1/4 cup chicken broth
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup butter (for mashed potatoes)
  • 2 tablespoons butter (for sautéing green beans)
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced (for green beans)
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)

Instructions

  1. Boil peeled potatoes in salted water until fork-tender (15-20 minutes), then mash with milk and butter.
  2. Season shrimp and salmon with Cajun seasoning. Sear shrimp in olive oil for 2-3 minutes per side; remove. Cook salmon for about 4-5 minutes per side until flaky.
  3. In the same skillet, sauté garlic in butter, then add heavy cream, chicken broth, Dijon mustard, salt, pepper, and smoked paprika; simmer until slightly thickened.
  4. Return shrimp and salmon to the sauce for a couple of minutes to absorb flavor.
  5. Boil green beans until tender-crisp (3-4 minutes), drain, then sauté in butter with minced garlic.
