  • 2/3 cup sugar
  • 2 eggs (room temperature)
  • 1 ½ teaspoons vanilla extract
  • ½ cup milk
  • 8 oz. brick-style cream cheese (room temperature)
  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 3 Tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 egg
  • ¾ cup powdered sugar
  • 2 Tablespoons milk or cream
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9 x 5-inch loaf pan and line it with parchment paper.
  2. Prepare the crisp topping by mixing flour, oats, brown sugar, cinnamon, and melted butter until crumbly.
  3. Toss diced apples with granulated sugar and cinnamon in a bowl; set aside.
  4. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt. In another bowl, beat butter and sugar until fluffy. Add eggs one at a time along with vanilla extract and milk. Mix in dry ingredients until just combined.
  5. For the cream cheese filling: Beat cream cheese until smooth; add sugar, flour, vanilla extract, and egg; mix until creamy.
  6. Layer half of the bread batter in the prepared pan, followed by half of the apple filling and cream cheese mixture. Repeat layers and top with crisp topping.
